In commemoration of World Teachers’ Day, which took place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, we celebrate their passion, dedication, and the lasting impact they have on the lives of children everywhere.

October 11th marks International Day of the Girl Child, a global movement to amplify the voices and rights of girls everywhere. This day reminds us of the immense potential girls have to shape their futures and the world around them, but it also shines a light on the barriers they face in accessing education, resources, and opportunities—particularly in underserved communities.

As promised, we are back with your monthly update, stoked to share the incredible strides Child Scholars is making thanks to your support. September marks a special time for students across the globe, but for us, it is the beginning of a new academic year filled with fresh starts and boundless opportunities.

September marked the end of summer break and return to school. We are excited to welcome back 53 children and five teachers to Veritas Academy, Ikorodu Nigeria!

Here at Child Scholars, we are gearing up for a very BIG day in the nonprofit world: this year’s #GivingTuesday. We want to make this year’s global day of philanthropy our best yet—please join the movement and help make education education a reality for disenfranchised kids in Africa.

I wanted to send you a note to thank you for your generous support this past year. Your contribution during our fundraising event helped us provide education to more than 40 disenfranchised kids in Nigeria. It was an amazing thing to accomplish. Without you, we simply would not have reached as many kids.
