Dear Child Scholars Donor,
As we journey through 2025, we are reminded that impact is not just measured in numbers but in lives changed. This month, we bring you heartwarming stories from Veritas School; real testimonies of transformation made possible through your constant donations. The children in our programs are thriving, and their stories are a testament to the difference you make.
From Dreams to Reality: Voices from Veritas School
These are not just stories; they are living proof of what happens when generosity meets opportunity. Here are a few heartfelt stories from the children whose futures you are supporting to shape:
“Before, I used to worry a lot. My mummy and my daddy will say they don’t have money to pay for my school fees, and sometimes, I have to stay at home and miss school. I did not have books and uniforms too. But I am happy because everything is better now. I go to school every day, and I don’t worry about my uniform, my notebooks, my bag and other things. I really, really love Science, and I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I want to take care of sick people, even children like me. I want to make them feel better and make sure no one is sick because they don’t have money to pay in the hospital. Thank you for believing in me.”
A Future Doctor in the Making – Josephine Kalu (Age 9)
“I like fixing things. If something spoils in our house; objects, broken toys, I always try to repair it before my daddy finds out. I used to imagine creating machines that can solve problems just to make everybody happy. Especially my brother, my sisters and my friends. When I started attending school at Veritas because of a scholarship, my teachers taught me Mathematics. It became my favorite subject because we are always solving problems. I also love Technical Drawing. I am working hard to become an engineer, so one day, I will start building machines that will make life easy for people. Maybe even a robot that will help my mummy carry heavy things from the market! Thank you for sponsoring me to stay in school so I can learn how to make that happen.”
The Problem Solver – Damilare Olowo (Age 10)
“Since I was little, I have loved drawing. I draw on my notebooks, my school bag, even on the floor with chalk! Before, I thought art was just for playing, but now, my teachers always tell me I can study it and become an artist. That makes me so happy! I want to paint pictures that tell stories to children like me. I want to also tell stories to families about happy things. One day, I hope my paintings will be in big art houses, and people will look at them and feel very happy for me. Thank you for helping me to follow my dreams!”
Artist with a Heart – Joy Kalu (Age 6)
